My name is Bob Hindley. I live in on the edge of the Pennines - right on the Lancashire / Yorkshire border. That's the ancient county border that was in place before parts of West Yorksire were moved into Lancashire early last century. I am an amateur photographer and a member of Oldham Photographic Society, though this site also contains a few audio compilations.

I also maintain the Oldham & Saddleworth Whit Friday Brass Band Contests web-site, where you can find lots more of my photographs. You can guess my other interests from the subject matter in the photo albums, though I've also dabbled with stereo photography, which doesn't lend itself to display on a computer screen.

The camera? It's a W√ľnsche Juwel I falling plate magazine box camera, circa 1896. It holds 12 glass plates, 9cm x 12cm, which fall down in turn when you wind the little handle front-top. Very high-tech in its time. No, I haven't taken any photographs with it.

Feel free to contact me by email. Constructive criticism is welcome - of the web-site or any of the photos. But please note, I'm part way through a complete re-vamp of the web-site.
